U.S. Consulates in Spain

The U.S. Embassy is situated in Madrid and the U.S. Consulates are in Barcelona, Fuengirola (Malaga), Seville, Valencia, Las Palmas, A Coruña and Palma de Mallorca. The consular offices across Spain work to develop and sustain the important and longstanding relationship between Spain and the USA, and provide consular assistance to U.S. nationals and Spanish citizens.

In the consulates people, who wish to travel, work, study in the United States, can: establish and renew passports and other official documents, apply for different kinds of visas (non-immigrant visas: K-1 fiancee visa, F-1 student visa, B-1 business visa etc., and immigrant visas: green card), renew a visa, apply for a passport etc.

Information for the U.S. nationals traveling to Spain:

The U.S. Consulates are responsible for their own fellow U.S. citizens, living or travelling in the host country. The American Citizen Services Unit also provides voting information and notarial services, helps in acquiring funds from home, in arranging for medical care, or in assisting Americans who are arrested or incarcerated in Spain. If the U.S. national has lost the passport, he/she need to make an appointment at the U.S. Embassy in Madrid or in the U.S. Consulate in Barcelona to get a new one. In the U.S. consulates in Spain visitors can also report Births, Deaths, Marriages, Divorces, Adoptions etc. happened in the host country.
