Mexico is a country that attracts tourists with its distinctive culture, ancient history, and beautiful beaches. Moreover, getting a visa to this country is not a difficult process.
In order to travel to Mexico, citizens of Russia, Ukraine, and Turkey need only obtain an electronic enter permit. To do this, you need to register in the Electronic Authorization System (SAE).
However, this permit is valid only for those who are going to Mexico for tourism, business, or transit.
The procedure for obtaining an electronic travel authorization
About all, anyone can apply for an electronic entry permit to Mexico. Moreover, it is completely free.
Nevertheless, this document is valid for one trip only. And if you leave the country even for a couple of days, you will need to issue it again.
Furthermore, an electronic approval is valid only for 30 days after issued. But, in Mexico, you can stay for up to 180 days (6 months).

Requirements for obtaining electronic authorization
- citizenship of Ukraine, Russia, or Turkey;
- a valid passport;
- traveling to Mexico by plane – Be sure to check that the airline you are flying with is part of the SAE scheme.
The procedure for registration of an electronic authorization for minors
For children, the procedure is the same as for adults. But there are some requirements: the presence of a child’s passport and the original birth certificate (with a notarized translation into Spanish).
Also, if a child under the age of 18 is going to Mexico unaccompanied by parents or with only one of the parents, then it is required to provide notarized permission from the parents with an official translation into Spanish).
Finally, there are some cases where you don’t need to get a visa or electronic permit:
- if you have a valid visa to the USA, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the countries of the Pacific Alliance (Colombia, Chile, Peru) and the Schengen countries;
- you provide a document confirming residence in the above countries;
- if you have an APEC Business Traveler (ABTC) card adopted by Mexico.
